According to Section 2 of the Motor Vehicle Ordinance 1 (Amendment 1), the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) was formed between SRO No. 1 / Act / 3 / MVRT / 1E-6/6 (Part) on December 27 and has been in operation since January 1. To begin with
Purpose: BRTA is formed to facilitate clean road transport, discipline, and road safety in the road transport sector. The BRTA was formed under the then Ministry of Communications (now the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges) for the purpose of implementing the Motor Vehicles Ordinance.
Constitution: The Chairman holds the ultimate power of the BRTA. It is also the responsibility of the Chairman to carry out the work issued by the Government from time to time.

Driving license
Process of obtaining a driving license: A prerequisite for a driving license is a learner or beginner driving license.
Customers must first apply for a Learner or Apprentice Driving License along with the required documentation. The customer will have to apply to the Circle Office under his / her permanent address or current address (with the required proof) in the Circle under the BRTA.
The Circle Office Authority will grant him a beginner or learner driving license with which the applicant can receive driving training. After receiving training for 2 months, he will have to take written, oral and field tests in the prescribed center at the specified date and time. During this time, the candidate should bring his Learner or Apprentice Driving License (original copy) and a pen to take the written exam. The minimum age for a professional driving license is 20 years and for amateurs a minimum of 3 years.
