National Service Program: The National Service is a high-priority program of the Government through which National Service Program has been adopted in the financial year to create temporary employment for the educated unemployed youth. Under this program, an educated unemployed youth / young woman is given 6 months of training in the following 6 scheduled modules and after the training, she is given temporary employment for 2 years.

Each youth / young woman will be entitled to an allowance at the rate of Rs. 5 / – per day during training and Rs. 20 / – per working day. This program is a significant process for the participation of unemployed youths in education through organizational activities. By utilizing program training and the experience of temporary attachment, a young man/woman will be able to build a bright future upon completion of work.

Youth Loan Programs:

1. A) Self-employment loan program (Individual centered loan):

Under this program, loans were provided through all Upazila offices for the creation of self-employment projects for the youths in the formal and informal courses. The minimum loan repayment starts from Tk. 30, 000 / – and the maximum loan amount is Tk. 1, 00,000/-

1. B) Family-based loan program:

Under this program, loans were provided to the grassroots unemployed youth at the family level by providing awareness training through 25 Upazila offices. The group consists of 4 members, and a center is formed with groups of 4 to 5. Each member of the group has the opportunity to provide loans up to a maximum of Tk 10,000 / – and Tk. 15,000 / – and Tk. 20,000/-
