The present Ministry of Water Resources of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (formerly the Ministry of Irrigation, Water Development, and Flood Control) is responsible for the overall development and management of water resources in the country. Ministry 8/90 (Part-1) / 617, Date: 14-09-1994 According to the memorandum, the former Ministry of Irrigation, Water Development and Flood Control was renamed as the Ministry of Water Resources.
